VOLUNTEER SUPPORT NEEDS

Ethel Taylor Elementary has a well-developed volunteer program that provides students in need with a variety of educational resources.   What Taylor Elementary does not have, is enough volunteers to service and support these programs to ensure success and maximize impact.

There is an entire spectrum of volunteer opportunities at Taylor Academy. Individuals can get involved at any level.  Click Here  for a list potential opportunities  to consider as a volunteer - or check out or Events page to see what volunteer opportunities are coming up.  There is something for anyone looking to make a difference. The time commitment of one hour a week, is reasonably small but the potential benefits are enormous.

"ADOPTING"

We try to have each classroom “adopted” by local businesses.  These adopters come to the school and spend time with our students in addition to planning field trips and a holiday party.  These adopters ensure that every student will leave for Winter Break with at least one present.   For many, it’s the only present they get at Christmas.  If you know of a business that would be interesting in adopting one of our classes, please let us know!

In addition to Adopt –A-Class, we have an “adopting” option that we do off the record.  If you are interested in “adopting” a student at Christmas or at their birthday- let us know!  Teachers submit a list of students they are worried about over the holidays or at their birthday.  We try to find generous individuals who are willing to brighten up a child’s special day.

DONATIONS

At Taylor, we provide school supplies and uniforms for most of the school.

Items we are always collecting donations for:
